Harolds Back!

Harold's back and he's bought with him a brand new love he picked up on his travels! Where will Harold and his lovely woman live? In his Winnebago outside the Kennedy's, perhaps?
Ian Smith has returned to the Street as Harold Bishop after packing up and leaving the street over two years ago for an adventure around Australia, after finding out he had cancer and not very long to live.  But, the trip obviously did him good because he's recovered and he's back with a new love played by seven-time Logie winning actress Paula Duncan.

"I’m thrilled that Harold has made it back to Ramsay Street safely after taking in the sights around Australia and delighted he is sharing the driving with the beautiful and extremely talented Paula Duncan," said Susan Bower.

According to Bower, the union of the Harold and his new love will not be welcomed by some residents of Ramsay Street.

Boasting over 60 years of industry experience between them, Ian and Paula filmed their first scenes together this week at Neighbours Nunawading studio.

Paula launched her career over 30 years ago in The Young Doctors and went onto to star in dozens of Australian productions including Cop Shop, Prisoner, Richmond Hill and Home & Away, and commercials, most notably for Spray & Wipe.

Ian bowed out of the long-running series after two decades only to return to the screen eight months later in the third installment of the Underbelly series. He starred along side nineties heartthrob Dieter Brummer who is also currently filming a guest role in Neighbours.
