Scott McGregor Uncovered

We're getting down and personal with our Neighbours and we invited you to ask your favourite cast member some personal questions...In our first edition of Neighbours Uncovered we asked Scott McGregor your questions.

Why do you want to leave Neighbours?
It would have been nice to stay longer, however I just turned 30 and there are a lot of things I want to do before i settle down. I'm going over to Los Angeles to try my luck and also looking at doing some modelling in Europe.  Georgina

Will you come back to the show, the fans think Kate deserves to be happy and it seems like she's found happiness with Mark.
Hmmm, he could. His exit has been written so there is a chance he could make a come back, who knows, you’ll have to keep watching.  Gill

Did you do any research before playing a police officer?
A little bit. I actually like movies and series which involve cops so I watched a fair bit before I started the role including Underbelly. The writers also talked me through the research they had done.  Gemma
Are you allowed any input in the Neighbours scripts?
Yes we can, although I can't say I've had a lot of input into my scripts.  Sandy

What was the strangest modeling job you ever had to do?
On one job I had to stand perfectly still in a shop window and act like a human mannequin which was quite degrading. A lot of those sorts of jobs they tend to hold back with all the details when they make the booking so you find out when you arrive and it’s too late to pull out of it.  Brooke

Who is your best friend in real life?
Would be Simon who I've know since Year 7 high school (12 yrs old) who I catch up with weekly along with a group of guys from the same high school.  Alex

Do you have a secret process to memorising lines?
Not really. If I'm having trouble remembering lines I just read it again and again and eventually it sinks in but I think the biggest thing about remembering lines is thinking about what you are actually saying rather than the words.  Peta

What is your favourite song and why?
I'm really enjoying the latest album from Kings Of Leon and Edge of Desire by John Meyer is a favourite.  Jen

What is the best holiday you have ever been on?
I love Italy and the last time I was there in 2008 I did the Amalfi Coast which was just incredible.  Caroline

What were your best and worst subjects at school?
For some reason English was my best subject and I can't explain why, it just came to me on the day and I hated maths.  Hannah

What are you best tips for keeping fit?
I tend to eat healthy food and I think you need to enjoy what you're doing exercise wise. I go through stages where I get sick of running so I try to mix up what I do so there is some variety. A lot of my friends and I will get together mid week and play competition indoor sports and change what we are doing so it’s not always the same thing.  James

Do you recall a Neighbours scene that you are especially proud of?
There isn't one particular scene but I really enjoyed all the bike racing/undercover storyline. I think my first week on Neighbours where we were filming who pushed Paul Robinson will stick in my mind because there were a lot of long interview scenes which I had to get through.  Vicki

What are the best and worst things about modeling for game shows in Australia?
Best thing there is very little to do and the worst thing is there is very little to do. It was great money and regular work but it did become very monotonous and after five years of it, I was over it.  Kelly

What is your ancestral background - I'm guessing Scottish?
Yes, it's Scottish. My Dad is right into our Scottish heritage and doing a family tree, and travels to Scotland regularly for McGregor reunions, really into it. And Mum's side is English and we think some Scandinavian.  Thea

What is best feature? What do you do outside of movie making, in your own life?
Ha, that’s a hard one to answer, what one person likes can be completely different from someone else. Outside of work I like spending time with my girlfriend or catching up with my mates, a bit footy, golf, the usual sort of things. I do have a Ducati motorbike which is awesome fun to take out for a spin.  Natalie

Who have you most enjoyed working with and why?
Probably Ash because I didn’t expect to click with someone so well and I don’t think she realizes she has made it a hell of a lot easier for me in my first real acting role, she’s taught me a lot. And also Scotty Major has been been great, very generous with his time and I’ve valued his advice along the way.   Olivia

What would you like to do next? There are still a lot of opportunities in modeling but I definitely want to continue acting, I’ve got the bug now.Karen

I wonder if my questions will be answered ....
Anaxx
